You pick your own scare level at Bucks Buckhead Haunted Cave, on a scale of 1 to 10, and staff radio it in so they can tailor the walk-through. That makes it the easiest haunt on this list for a mixed group, say a nervous kid and a fearless teenager. Entry is by advance ticket only, though.

The big name is NETHERWORLD Haunted House out in Stone Mountain, with two separate haunts and a Halloween midway through Nov 7. Plan ahead: every ticket is a timed entry window, and walk-ups aren't guaranteed. Parking is tighter than past seasons because of nearby construction, so carpool or rideshare if you can. Want something odder? Folklore Haunted House in Acworth throws in The Casket Ride, a burial simulation. Yes, burial. For ghost stuff, the Roswell Ghost Tour is led by paranormal investigators, skips the costumes and stage theatrics, and is cash only.
