VerHulst Haunted Hayride in Spencerport is $32 cash at the booth with no online sales, and you can stay on the wagon if you'd rather skip the walk-through and the corn maze. Haunted Housel in Canandaigua is cash only too. It's the Housel family's outdoor display, with hundreds of skeletons posed in scenes like a haunted western town and a witch's village. It's family-friendly by day and gets scarier after dark, when live actors come out.

For a proper haunted house, Dark Matter Scream Works 2026 in Greece runs three of them under one roof. Heads up: groups max out at six, so a bigger crew gets split up. The ghost side leans on real history. Mount Hope Cemetery hosts a string of $15 walking tours on October Saturdays, covering everything from local criminals to Victorian mourning rituals, and kids under 18 get in free with an adult. There's also a lakeside ghost walk at Sea Breeze and candlelight ghost walks downtown.
